We are partnering with Greater Good Charities to help us raise money for one of our medical cases. Marshall, the German Shepherd, arrived at National Mill Dog Rescue with two different conditions that made his eyes very painful and created very low visibility.

Please give to provide Marshall with the delicate surgery he needs to restore his vision!

About Marshall:
Location: Peyton, CO
Breed: German shepherd
Age: 4 years
Best Trait: Stoic and patient
Medical Problem: Various eye ailments
Treatment: Surgery, eye drops

When Marshall arrived at the shelter, he was quickly diagnosed with a corneal stromal ulcer and German shepherd pannus (an immune-mediated condition affecting the cornea). His condition was severe and unresponsive to eyedrops, so he was taken to a top eye surgeon.

Marshall needs a parotid duct transposition, meaning the duct that carries saliva into the mouth will be relocated to the pocket below the eye, then keeping the eye moist with saliva. This is an extremely delicate surgery. He’ll then need time and constant care to recover fully, but with the surgery, Marshall has a great chance for good vision and comfort for the rest of his life.

You can help Marshall receive the operation he needs to see without pain. Your gift will directly cover his costly surgery and recovery. This pup has suffered for too long from extreme eye pain and poor vision, but he’s ready to leave all that behind and be the loving and loyal companion he is.

Help us meet our goal of $5,300 to give Marshall the operation critical to allowing him a life with pain-free vision. Despite all he’s endured, sweet Marshall is amiable with everyone he meets. Funds raised over the goal amount will go to help provide medical care to other shelter pets.
